A community partnership

Community Bank at Swinburne is based on a model that’s given more than $229 million back to Australian communities.

An earlier survey of Swinburne staff, students and alumni showed considerable support for a partnership with Bendigo Bank. Swinburne has acted on this feedback, creating Community Bank at Swinburne where profits earned are reinvested into the Swinburne community.

An Advisory Board comprising representatives from across the Swinburne community has been established to make decisions on the projects and programs that are supported. An open application process will accept proposals for grants and sponsorships.

Swinburne Library

Former Swinburne students and staff may subscribe to the library as alumni.

There is an annual membership fee of $110. All memberships are per individual member and annual membership is valid for 12 months.

Swinburne Library requires proof of affiliation to take up membership. This could include an expired ID card, award certificate, statement of results or verification provided by the Alumni Office. 

Please note, there are a few services limitations for Alumni members:

• Alumni members can borrow up to 10 items at a time. 
• Videos, DVDs and equipment cannot be borrowed.
• Printing is not available.
• There is limited access to selected databases on campus only. 
• Home access to Swinburne journals, databases, and online resources is not available due to contractual licences. However, a collection of online databases and resources are available to all Victorians through the State Library of Victoria.
